London is the capital city of the United Kingdom, Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It was first named by the Romans who founded the city and named it "Londinium". It is home to both its monarchy and government as a commerical for trade and commerce. It is one of four global cities behind New York in the United States of America, Tokyo in Japan and Paris in France. Those cities have produced linkages of Advanced Producer Services such as law, advertising and banking to London as a world city.

Railway SeriesEdit

London is home to four stations including Paddington where Duck used to work there, Euston which a LMS "Patriot" 4-6-0 says that everyone in the world knows that and Kings' Cross where Gordon, when being young and green had really travelled to there but the other two say both Paddington or Euston where Gordon had went. At the end, Gordon tells Sir Topham Hatt that St. Pancras is now London's terminus for British Railways. Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom lives in this city at Buckingham Palace after being crowned as the Queen of England and travelled to Sodor during her coronation by train.

Wilbert AwdryEdit

In 1996, Awdry was awarded an OBE for services to literacy in doing the List of Railway Series Books from numbers one to twenty-six, but as his health was deteriorated at that time and was unable to travel to London. The Queen was notified and she went on with the New Year's Honours List without mentioning Wilbert Awdry's name.
